Arielle Beck
In 2018 her talnet was rewarded with the First Grand Prize at the Jeune Chopin International Competition presided over by Martha Argerich, and in 2024 with the XX Elba Festival Prize.
Last spring we had the opportunity to meet, so far only virtually, the very young Arielle Beck, and we were deeply impressed by her talent, the fluidity of her sound, and the authority and maturity with which she approaches demanding repertoire. A fine example is the program she proposes for the upcoming season: Bach’s English Suite No. 2, Schumann’s Humoreske, Brahms’s Klavierstücke Op. 76, Mendelssohn’s Variations Sérieuses, as well as her own composition, Variations sur un thème de R. Schumann.
Born in 2009, Arielle Beck is supported by Martha Argerich and mentored by Stephen Kovacevich. Despite her young age, she already displays an exceptionally precocious talent and has performed in prestigious venues and festivals in France and abroad, including La Roque d’Anthéron, Lucerne, La Folle Journée in Nantes and Tokyo, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Academy of Saint-Martin in the Fields and the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid…
Her album Des Lunes et des feux will be released at the end of 2025.
