In October 2016 she won first prize at the “Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition, as well as a special award to perform with the “Zagreb Chamber Orchestra.

Born in 2002, she has won the most important national awards and has performed in venues such as the Teatro La Fenice, Teatro alla Scala, Zaragoza Auditorium, Auditorium of the Conservatorio Superior in Valencia, Auditorium Pau Casals, the Juan March Foundation, Stadtpalais Liechtenstein in Vienna, Montforthaus Feldkirch, Residenz in Munich, Neues Schloss Stuttgart.

In 2016 she established herself on the international scene by winning First Prize at the Antonio Janigro Competition in Croatia, following which she was invited several times as a soloist by the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra. In the following years she won First Prize at the ’14th Vychytil International Cellist Competition’ (Prague, 2020), as well as First Prize at the ‘Eliodoro Sollima International Music Competition’ (Enna) and the ‘Prix du Musee Bonnat-Helleu’ special prize at the Maurice Ravel Festival (2021), and in 2022 she performed together with her mentor Giovanni Sollima ‘Violoncelle Vibrez’ at EXPO 2022 in Dubai.

After studying with Marianne Chen and Monika Leskovar in Italy, she furthered her studies at the “Yehudi Menuhin School” in London, where she was selected for a seven-concert tour of Scotland in May 2018, which touched down in Edinburgh (Cannongate Kirk), Blair Atholl Castle, New Lanark, Hippodrome Eyemouth and Berwick (The Maltings Theater), and is now completing her education in the prestigious class of Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt at the “Hochschule fur Musik Franz Listz” in Weimar.

Since 2021, Caterina has been supported by the ‘Liechtenstein Musikakademie’.
