Buratto – Lucchesini

Eleonora Buratto: soprano

Andrea Lucchesini: piano

The encounter between Eleonora Buratto, one of the most luminous and sought-after voices on the international opera scene, and Andrea Lucchesini, among the most authoritative and versatile pianists of his generation, is a rare and extraordinary event. Two artists with prestigious and independent careers choose to share the stage, creating a musical dialogue of remarkable depth and fascination.

The program opens with the Lieder of Richard Strauss, works of poignant lyricism and brilliant theatricality that find ideal interpreters in Buratto and Lucchesini. This is followed by Andrea Lucchesini performing selected Intermezzi and the Ballade from Johannes Brahms’s Op.118, piano pieces of intimate reflection and intensity that stand in contrast and dialogue with the vocal repertoire.

The second half is entirely dedicated to the Italian tradition: the songs of Ottorino Respighi on poems by Ada Negri, suspended between late-Romantic poetry and refined harmony; the Sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti, entrusted to Lucchesini, miniature gems of virtuosity and timbral invention; and the celebrated chamber romances of Francesco Paolo Tosti, embodying the most authentic Italian vocal expression, exalted by the voice of Eleonora Buratto.

A journey through different eras, styles, and languages, made unique by the sensitivity and communicative power of two interpreters who turn each concert into an unrepeatable experience.
